New Hampshire is led by 20th-year head coach Sean McDonnell, who has guided the Wildcats to the NCAA FCS tournament each of the last 14 years (longest active streak in the nation).
UNH leads the all-time series 8-7 following last year's 51-26 loss at Fitton Field. The Wildcats' 39-28 win in 2016 was the first football game at Wildcat Stadium.
New Hampshire has a 10-3 all-time record at Wildcat Stadium and that includes a perfect 6-0 last year. UNH's home win streak ended at seven games with a 10-3 loss to Colgate University in the Sept. 8 home opener this year.
Since 2008, UNH had a 52-8 home record (.867 win percentage) that includes 17-3 vs. non-conference teams (.850 win percentage).
UNH has not lost consecutive home games since 2004, when the 'Cats lost 9-7 to William & Mary (Sept. 18) and 38-21 to UMass (Oct. 16).
In the national statistics, the Wildcats are No. 6 in net punting (41.41 yards).
Quinlen Dean is No. 12 in the nation in total tackles (10.8 per game) and No. 17 in tackles for loss at 1.8 per game.
Dean recorded his 200th career tackle with the seventh of his game-high 12 tackles Sept. 29 at nationally-ranked Elon University. Dean enters Saturday's game vs. Holy Cross with 205 career tackles (126-79-205).
On the CAA leaderboard, Dean is No. 1 in tackles at 10.8 per game. Pop Lacey is tied for No. 6 in that stat with 8.2 tackles per game.
Junior punter Drew Sanborn ranks second in the CAA with an average of 41.8 yards per punt. Sanborn has punted 27 times and pinned the opponent inside the 20 yard line 15 times with no touchbacks.
Senior wide receiver Neil O'Connor is targeted by UNH quarterbacks far more frequently than any other Wildcat. O'Connor accounts for 21 of 54 receptions (39%) and 286 of 658 receiving yards (48%).
O'Connor is No. 7 in UNH career receiving yards with 2,589. He needs 24 more yards to climb past Chris Braune (2,612) to No. 6.
O'Connor is No. 6 in UNH career receptions with 185. Immediately ahead of him on that list are John Perry (191) and Curtis Olds (193).
