GAME RECAP
- Stanford pressured early and converted a penalty corner into a 1-0 lead at 4:37 when the battery of insert Sarah Johnson and stick-stop Katie Keyser set up Zanolli's direct shot into the cage.
- Moments later, the Crimson's Kennedy Schumacher sent a thru-ball to Zanolli, but this time her shot from the middle of the circle was denied by a charging Rudert.
- Kristina Bassi stole the ball just outside of the circle and blasted a rising reverse-stick shot that Rudert guided away with her blocker.
- New Hampshire began to create offensive pressure and also converted a corner into a goal to tie the score, 1-1, at 16:59. Bing stopped the initial direct shot from the top of the circle by Ashley Mendonca (Brampton, Ontario) but Audino, positioned near the left post, batted the high rebound into the cage.
- Stanford regained the lead, 2-1, at 29:07 when Kaylie Mings' shot from the top-left side of the circle was redirected by Bassi from the middle to the right side of the cage.
- The Crimson carried that one-goal lead and 9-2 shot advantage into halftime.
- UNH stymied the visitor's attack in the second half and tied the score on the strength of a 9-1 shot advantage.
- The Wildcats leveled the score on another corner at 43:43, this time on a direct shot by Schmidt inside the left post. Bloem van den Brekel (Endhoven, Netherlands) and Gianna Bensaia (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) set up the tally.
- The 'Cats pressured in the final minutes with three consecutive penalty corners. On the initial corner, Schmidt's direct shot was stopped by Bing, Rachel Bossi's shot off the rebound was blocked and another shot by Audino was turned aside by Bing. On the second corner, Schmidt once again blasted a shot from the top of the circle, but this time a defender's block led to a third corner. With the clock on the scoreboard at all zeroes, Bing denied Mendonca's bid from the top of the circle and the Crimson cleared the ball out of the circle to send the game to OT.
- UNH recorded a 3-1 edge in shots in the first 15-minute extra session. Midway through the period, Audino drove a reverse-stick shot that Bing stopped. The rebound went to Bossi in the middle of the circle and she pushed the ball just wide of the right post.
- New Hampshire generated another corner as the clock ticked down to 00:00, but this time Bensaia's shot from the right wing was blocked and cleared to send the game into a second overtime session.
- Stanford generated a corner in the 86th minute but Rudert denied Bassi.
- Three minutes later, von den Brekel ripped a reverse-stick shot from the top of the circle that Bing kicked away with her pads.
- Midway through the second OT, Zanolli struck a rising line drive that Rudert blocked over the crossbar.
- Stanford ended the game at 93:08 when Crosthwaite's centering pass from along the left end line was redirected in front by Zanolli.
