The No. 15/16 UNH football team enters Homecoming and Family Weekend against Rhode Island with a 2-1 overall record that includes 1-0 at home and 1-0 in the CAA.
New Hampshire has won eight consecutive Homecoming games, and that includes two against Rhode Island – 31-24 in 2011 and 59-19 in 2013.
Since the start of the 2007 season, UNH has a 52-8 home record for an .867 win percentage.
UNH holds a 58-27-5 series edge against URI. The Wildcats have won six straight and 12 of the last 13 meetings; the Rams' only win in that span was Sept. 18, 2010 (28-25 at home).
The 'Cats have a 14-3 record against URI in the Coach Mac era (1999-present) and that includes 7-0 at home.
The New Hampshire offense recorded 2017 season single-game highs in rushing yards (166), passing yards (319), total yards (485) and points (26) in the Sept. 16 loss at Holy Cross.
Junior quarterback Trevor Knight recorded his second career 300-yard passing game with 310 at Holy Cross and he also threw a career-high three TDs against the Crusaders.
Knight is No. 11 in the nation in TD passes (seven) and 30th in total offense (250.7 yards per game).
Junior wide receiver Rory Donovan recorded his first career 100-yard receiving game with a personal-best 11 catches for 109 yards at Holy Cross.
Junior wide receiver Neil O'Connor had two TD receptions for the second consecutive week with two scores at Holy Cross.
O'Connor is No. 5 in the nation in receiving TDs (four). He is also No. 9 in receptions per game (7.3) and 24th in receiving yards (252).
Junior defensive end Jae'Wuan Horton finished with a career-high nine tackles, and that included a personal-best two sacks, at Holy Cross.
DeUnte Chatman's 64-yard TD at Holy Cross was the longest rush by any Wildcat since quarterback Andy Vailas' 69-yard scamper vs. Dartmouth (Sept. 27, 2014) and the longest by a UNH running back since Nov. 23, 2013 (Nico Steriti vs. Maine).
