Picicci Scores Twice, Wildcats Shut Out Black Knights, 2-0.

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Freshman Francesca Picicci (North Massapequa, N.Y.) scored her first two career goals and senior Mia Neas (Old Saybrook, Conn.) posted her second shut out of the season as he Wildcats took down the Army Black Knights 2-0 on Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Despite the difference in shots in the first half, both teams tallied two shots on goal.
- Picicci opened the scoring in the 35th minute with a shot from the top of the box. The assist came from freshman Kendra Prince (Ajax, Ontario) for her first point of the season.
- Neas finished with four saves, two in each half, to seal her second shutout of the season.
- Picicci's second goal came in the 77th minute on a sliding shot in the box that she was able to angle into the top left corner, giving UNH insurance heading into the final minutes.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Army led in total shots, 8-4, but UNH led in shots on goal, 5-4.
- UNH's only corner kick came in the second half, where Army had a total of six in the game.
- Picicci only needed two shots to notch her two goals.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- With the win, the Wildcats end their five-game road trip with a record of 2-3-0.
- Picicci got her two first career goals in her first career start as a Wildcat.
- Neas' last shutout came in the season open against LIU Brooklyn at home. She also had four saves in that game.
- The LIU Brooklyn game also had the same final score; 2-1.
