Slevin Wins Pole Vault in Maine with Personal-Best Mark

ORONO, Maine – Sophomore Grace Slevin (Bozeman, Mont.) placed first in the pole vault to lead the University of New Hampshire women's track team to a first-place finish at the University of Maine on Sunday.
Slevin jumped to a height of 12 feet for the first-place mark. Her previous top outdoor mark was 11 feet, 7.75 inches at New Englands in 2016.
Two other Wildcats set personal-best distances including Carly Orlacchio (Cromwell, Conn.) who finished second in the javelin with a 125-foot, 7-inch toss. Rookie Alyssa Colbert (Smithfield, R.I.) collected third place with a distance of 123 feet, 4 inches on a personal-best toss.
