'Cats Prepare for Quad-Meet Showdown at No. 16 GWU (Feb. 5, 1 p.m.)

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The University of New Hampshire gymnastics team looks to knock East Atlantic Gymnastics League rival and 16th-ranked George Washington University from the ranks of the unbeaten when the Wildcats take on the Colonials, Towson University and Ball State University in a quad-meet Sunday, Feb. 5 (1 p.m.), at the Charles E. Smith Center.

The Wildcats will host their annual Stick It for the Cure meet against Temple University on Sunday, Feb. 19 (1 p.m.). Wear pink and help the 'Cats raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness while defeating the Owls at Lundholm Gym. Tickets are available HERE or by calling 603-862-4000.
MEET NOTES
•Danielle Mulligan enters Sunday's meet as the No. 1-ranked uneven bar competitor in EAGL. Mulligan, who won the bar individual championship with a season-high 9.900 last Sunday, is averaging a 9.867 through three meets.
•Meghan Pflieger is ranked eighth in EAGL in all-around after posting a season-high 39.125 in last Sunday's victory over Utah State.
•Pflieger, EAGL's No.4-ranked floor exercise competitor, set a season high in that event with a 9.900 last weekend, which represented her highest mark since totaling a 9.900 at Yale on Jan. 30, 2016. The senior's personal best in FX is 9.950 (Feb. 8, 2015).
•Nicole O'Leary set a personal best with a 9.875 on floor against USU. Her previous high was a 9.800 set Feb. 13, 2016. The sophomore leads the 'Cats on vault, where she is ranked eighth (9.769 AVG) in the conference.
•UNH was defeated by GWU twice during the 2016 regular season, but the Wildcats saved their best for last in the EAGL Championship by outscoring the Colonials, 195.525-195.350.
•This is the first encounter between UNH and Ball State since the Wildcats bettered the Cardinals at the 2010 UNH Invitational.
•Head Coach Gail Goodspeed enters the meet with 596 career wins at UNH.
•EAGL rival Towson was added to the meet late Friday after the Tigers' scheduled meet at North Carolina was canceled due to an emergency water shortage in Chapel Hill, N.C.
