The No. 21/20 UNH football team received 1 of 14 at-large berths to the NCAA Division I FCS Championship to extend the national-best streak to 14 consecutive years.
New Hampshire enters the second round with an 8-4 overall record that includes 3-1 in non-conference games and 2-4 on the road (1-1 in non-conference road games).
Central Arkansas is No. 3 in both national polls and the No. 4 seed of the FCS Championship. The Bears, who have won 10 consecutive games, went unbeaten in the Southland Conference (9-0) and at home (5-0).
Saturday's NCAA second-round game will be the first meeting between the UNH and UCA football programs.
UNH has a 13-13 postseason record during the 14-year playoff streak. Since the playoffs were reformatted in 2010, the Wildcats have advanced to the second round 7 of 8 years with three quarterfinal appearances.

Stats announced that UNH junior wide receiver Neil O'Connor is one of 25 finalists for the 2017 Walter Payton Award, which is presented annually to the top offensive player in the FCS.
Junior quarterback Trevor Knight was named recipient of the 2017 New England Football Writers Division I Season Gold Helmet Award on Nov. 26. The award is presented to the player in Division I – FBS and FCS combined – that is deemed to be the player of the year.
Four UNH players were named to the 2017 All-New England Division I Football Team that was announced Nov. 27. Jake Kennedy (OL), Trevor Knight (QB) and Neil O'Connor (WR) were selected on offense, and Rick Holt (DL) was the lone Wildcat representative on defense.
O'Connor was named to the CAA Football First Team Offense to highlight a total of six players who were honored by the conference on Nov. 21. Kennedy was voted to the Second Team Offense while sophomore linebacker Quinlen Dean and Holt were Second Team Defense selections. Knight was a Third Team Offense honoree and sophomore cornerback Prince Smith, Jr. was named Third Team Defense.
