DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's cross country team is preparing for the New England Championships this weekend in Franklin Park in Boston. The 'Cats make the return to Franklin Park after participating in the Coast-to-Coast Invitational on that same course last month.
The Wildcats will compete in the New England Championships with three of their seven top finishers from the Coast to Coast out with injury.
Timothy Kenefick (Guilford, Conn.) was the top finisher for the 'Cats in the Coast-to-Coast Battle in Beantown, as he finished with a faster time than his previous finish, 25 minutes and 27 seconds, finishing in 53rd place.
Other key runners for UNH will be William Ulrich (Mineola, N.Y.) who finished in 26 minutes, seven seconds in the Coast-to-Coast invitational, finishing in 104th, and Cody Symonds (Alton, N.H.) who was a top-10 finisher at the Maine dual meet, finishing seventh in 26 minutes, 48 seconds.

FROM THE COACH:
"We've got a lot of injuries that we're trying to overcome before conference championship time. This race is another stepping stone on the way to the conference meet. I'd like to see Timmy [Kenefic] finish top 25 or All-New England. I believe Ulrich and Symonds will also step it up in this meet."
