The No. 18/18 UNH football team enters Saturday's game vs. Towson University with a 4-2 overall record that includes 3-0 at home and 2-1 in the CAA.
The Wildcats were upended 38-24 by Stony Brook University at the Seawolves' Homecoming on Oct. 14 at LaValle Stadium.
In the most recent home game, UNH was a 45-17 victor against Bryant University at Wildcat Stadium on Sept. 30.
New Hampshire has an 8-3 lifetime record, including 4-1 at home, against Towson. The Wildcats were 21-7 victors last October at Johnny Unitas Stadium. Prior to that, Towson won three consecutive meetings spanning the 2011-13 seasons.
Towson University (Towson, Md.) enters the Oct. 21 matchup against UNH with a 2-4 overall record that includes 0-3 in the CAA and 1-2 on the road, as well as 0-1 in road conference games.
Since the start of the 2007 season, UNH has a 54-8 record at home for an .871 win percentage. New Hampshire is 3-0 in The Dungeon this season and, dating back to last year, has won four consecutive home games.
Nineteenth-year head coach Sean McDonnell recorded his 92nd career victory in CAA conference play Sept. 23 with UNH's 28 -14 win vs. URI at Wildcat Stadium. McDonnell's predecessor, Bill Bowes, is No. 3 at 97 career conference wins.
Junior wide receiver Neil O'Connor is closing in on UNH's Top 10 list in both single-season and career receiving yards; O'Connor has 820 yards this season and No. 10 is 1,004 (R.J. Harris in 2013); on the career list, O'Connor has 1,727 yards and No. 10 is Scott Sicko (2006-09) at 2,023.
O'Connor is in the Top 10 in the nation in six statistics. He is No. 2 in the nation in receptions per game (8.8) and No. 3 in receiving yards per game (136.7). O'Connor is also fifth in receiving TDs (eight) and sixth in all-purpose yards (154.67 per game). In other stats, he is No. 4 in receiving yards (820), No. 9 in total TDs and 18th in scoring (8.0 points/game).
Trevor Knight is 10th in total offense (307.2 yards/game), 11th in passing yards/game (284.7), 13th in passing yards (1,708), 15th in completions per game (22.5) and 16th in passing TDs (14).
Quinlen Dean is ninth in solo tackles per game (6.5).
In his first 20 career games, Knight had one 300-yard passing game. He has topped that mark each of the past four games
