Gymnastics Hosts Utah State on Winter/Charity Day (Jan. 29, 1 p.m.)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire gymnastics team welcomes Utah State University to Lundholm Gym for the first time ever Sunday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. The Wildcats (6-1) are seeking to remain unbeaten at home before embarking on a three-meet road trip.

PROMOTION
Sunday's meet has a Winter/Charity Day theme. Fans who donate new or gently-used hats or mittens in the front lobby will receive a free hot chocolate. There will also be Shawnee Peak ski passes given away during the meet, and the Wildcat gymnasts will sign their posters and trading cards immediately following the meet. NEXT HOME MEET
The Wildcats will host their annual Stick It for the Cure meet against Temple University on Sunday, Feb. 19 (1 p.m.). Wear pink, help the 'Cats raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness while defeating the Owls at Lundholm Gym. Tickets are available HERE and at 603-862-4000.
MEET NOTES
•Danielle Doolin established a personal best with a 9.900 on floor exercise to earn first place in last Saturday's home defeat of Pittsburgh and Southern Connecticut State. She added the all-around championship with a 38.825.
•Nicole O'Leary has posted at least a share of UNH's top vault score in each of its first three meets of the season. The sophomore set a personal best with last week's 9.825 to share the top score with Meghan Pflieger.
•The Wildcats posted their season-high scores on vault (48.925), uneven bars (48.750) and floor exercise (49.075) in their tri-meet triumph.
•UNH has defeated the last 23 opponents to enter Lundholm Gym in a streak that dates back to March 8, 2014.
•Utah State (No. 34) is the highest-ranked opponent that UNH (No. 30) has faced this season. The top 36 teams at the conclusion of the regular season qualify for the NCAA Regional Championships, which the 'Cats have done in 33 of the last 35 seasons.
•Following Sunday's meet, UNH hits the road for three consecutive weeks. The Wildcats visit 18th ranked George Washington for a tri-meet that includes Ball State (No. 31) on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 5, 1 p.m.), head to Bowling Green State in Ohio (Feb. 11, 2:30 p.m.) and then challenge EAGL rival North Carolina on (Feb. 17, 7 p.m.).
