Dion Does It Again, Defeating Binghamton, 73-66

DURHAM, N.H. – Senior Daniel Dion (Cedar Park, Texas) finished with a game-high 23 points to lead the University of New Hampshire men's basketball team to a 73-66 win at home over Binghamton University.

HIGHLIGHTS
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the opening five minutes, the Wildcats jumped out to a 14-4 lead with the scoring split evenly between Camara and Dion. The lead just increased from there as UNH led by as much as 24 points in the first period. Binghamton shot 9 of 24 (37.5 percent) from the field and 2 of 12 (16.7 percent) from beyond the arc. Camara led the Wildcats with 17 points on 8 of 11 shooting in 20 minutes.
The second frame was mostly Wildcats until the final four minutes. Following Camara's career-setting free throws with 4:04 to play, and to take a 69-52 lead, Binghamton went on a surge. Ahearn dropped two free throws at 3:51 followed by a three from Beck to cut it to 12 points. Smith drilled two free throws shortly after but Rose finished in the paint and Fard Muhammad hit two freebies to inch within 10 points, 71-61, with 2:06 to play.
Beck drilled another three with 1:31 on the clock followed up by a nice dribble pulled by Muhammed to decrease the deficit to five, 71-66, with one minute to go. The Wildcats played tough defense in the final minute and held on to its first America East home win of the season.
