Gymnastics Registers 193.825 in Tri-Meet with Utah State and BYU

LOGAN, UTAH - Danielle Doolin (Medford Lakes, N.J.) recorded a share of the team's top score on balance beam (9.750), and also finished second in the all-around competition (38.925), in the University of New Hampshire's gymnastics team's third place finish in Friday's tri-meet at Utah State University with Brigham Young University.
The Wildcats fall to 11-7 overall, while the Aggies rise to 6-6 and the Cougars go to 4-8 on the season.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Erin Carroll (Kingston, N.H.) recorded a personal best 9.825 and a second place finish on vault.
- Jennifer King (Freehold, N.J.) matched a career-high on uneven bars and recorded the team's top score of 9.850 as she earned a share of fourth place.
- Meghan Pflieger (Barneveld, N.Y.) recorded the team's top score on the floor exercise (9.800) and tied for seventh place in the event.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Wildcats began the night on the balance beam, recording a team score of 47.850. Doolin and Lia Breeden (York, Pa.) led the team with matching scores of 9.750 for a share of eighth place.
New Hampshire stepped it up when it went to the floor next, where the 'Cats totaled a 48.400. Pflieger posted a team-high 9.800 and earned a share of seventh place. It marks the sixth time in the last seven meets that the junior has recorded a 9.800 or above in the event. Doolin (9.750, T-9th) was the team's other top performer on the floor.
UNH improved even further on vault, where Carroll recorded a career-high 9.825 and a second place finish. Elizabeth Mahoney (Hanson, Mass.) followed closely behind with a 9.800 to earn a share of third place. The Wildcats totaled a 48.825 in their third event of the night.
New Hampshire ended the meet with a strong performance on the bars, posting a team score of 48.750. King recorded the team's top score of 9.850 and earned a share of fourth place. The mark matched a personal best for the junior, and it was the third time that she had earned the score this season.
TEAM NOTES
- The Wildcats outscored both the Aggies (48.775) and the Cougars (48.050) on vault, as they recorded a 48.825.
- With the third place finish, New Hampshire's streak of earning at least one victory in five straight meets ended.
- Erin Carroll set a new career-high on vault, while Jennifer King matched her personal best on bars.
