Gymnastics Battles Two Nationally-Ranked Foes at TWU's Quad-Meet (March 12, 7 p.m.)

DENTON, Texas – With only one week remaining prior to the EAGL Championship, the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team heads to the Lone Star State to compete against two nationally-ranked teams in a quad-meet at Texas Woman's University on Saturday, March 12 (7 p.m. ET).
The Wildcats (11-7) square off against No. 3 Louisiana State University (10-2), No. 16 Oregon State University (8-3) and the host school, Texas Woman's (8-13), at Kitty Magee Arena.

NEXT MEET: UNH vies for its second East Atlantic Gymnastics League championship in three years when it visits the University of Pittsburgh on Saturday, March 19 (2 p.m., ESPN3) to challenge Pitt, George Washington, North Carolina, North Carolina State and Towson in the 2016 EAGL Championship at Fitzgerald Field House.
MEET NOTES:
- Despite being minus Casey Lauter (Northport, N.Y.), EAGL's top-ranked balance beam competitor, since Feb. 7, UNH is still ranked seventh nationally on the apparatus with a 49.200 Regional Qualifying Score.
- The top 6 beam lineups come from teams ranked in the Top-10 nationally: No. 2 Florida, No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 4 Alabama, No. 6 Michigan, No. 5 Utah, and No. 8 UCLA.
- UNH is currently ranked 30th in the country in this week's RoadToNationals.com poll. The top 36 teams at the conclusion of the regular season qualify for NCAA Regional Championships. The regular season wraps up Saturday, March 19. Regionals are scheduled for Saturday, April 2 at six locations.
- In the penultimate regular-season meet of her collegiate career, Kelsey Aucoin (Double Oak, Texas) gets the opportunity to compete in her home state. Aucoin is ranked second in EAGL on beam (9.880 RQS) behind only Lauter (9.895 RQS). Meghan Pflieger (Barneveld, N.Y.) is ranked third in the league with a 9.865 RQS.
- Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.), EAGL's top-ranked competitor on uneven bars (9.885 RQS), is scheduled to make her return to the lineup after missing last week's tri-meet at Utah State.
