Gymnasts Mulligan and Doolin Earn EAGL Honors

BALTIMORE – The 22nd-ranked University of New Hampshire gymnastics team won two of this week's East Atlantic Gymnastics League honors Tuesday. Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) earned Specialist of the Week honors for the second time this season, while teammate Danielle Doolin (Medford Lakes, N.J.) was feted as Co-Rookie of the Week for the fourth week in a row.
Mulligan has recorded New Hampshire's top score on uneven bars in five out of the six meets this year, including a career-high 9.925 (first place) in UNH's first place finish in the Wildcat Invitational against Towson University, the University of Bridgeport, and Brown University last week. The freshman, who has registered four first place finishes this season, has scored a 9.900 or above in three meets, including each of the last two.
Doolin finished second in the all-around (38.850) while recording a 9.525 on vault (T-16th), tied a personal-best with a 9.775 on bars (T-10th), scored a 9.700 on beam (T-14th), and tied another career-high with a 9.850 on floor (T-2nd). The freshman, who won her first career EAGL Rookie of the Week award on Jan. 19th, is ranked 10th in the conference in the all-around, averaging a 38.842.
