Gymnastics Honors Seniors on Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night (Feb. 26, 7:30 p.m.)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire gymnastics team tangles with former East Atlantic Gymnastics League rival University of Maryland in a dual-meet Friday, Feb. 26, at 7:30 p.m. in Lundholm Gym. The Wildcats will honor their senior class and their favorite staff/professors on Faculty Appreciation Night, which is the final home meet of the season.
NEXT MEET: UNH ventures to the Mountain Time Zone for a tri-meet at Utah State University on Friday, March 4, that also features Brigham Young University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. ET.

MEET NOTES:
- The first 100 UNH students in attendance at Friday night's meet receive free Shawnee Peak ski passes.
- The Wildcats honor their senior class tonight: Kelsey Aucoin (Double Oak, Texas); Catarina Broccoli (Mystic, Conn.); Lauren Brodie (Mogadore, Ohio); Cassy Izzo (Cranston, R.I.). Many of their individual accomplishments are listed below.
- The UNH gymnasts each invited their favorite professor/faculty/staff member as a special guest for tonight's meet.
- UNH is currently ranked 29th in the nation in this week's RoadToNationals.com poll. The top 36 teams qualify for the NCAA Regional Championships at the conclusion of the season, which ends for the Wildcats at the EAGL Championship (March 19).
- The Wildcats are raked fifth nationally on balance beam with an average score of 49.113. Only Oklahoma (49.328), Florida (49.345), Alabama (49.300) and UCLA (49.240) are ahead of UNH. The injured Casey Lauter (Northport, N.Y.) is tied for fourth nationally (9.904 AVG), and Kelsey Aucoin is No. 12 (9.850).
- Lauter, Aucoin and Meghan Pflieger (Barneveld, N.Y./9.778) are ranked 1-3 in EAGL on beam, while Lila Breeden (York, Pa.) is No. 5 (9.797).
- Danielle Doolin (Medford Lakes, N.J.) had her five-week stranglehold on the EAGL Rookie of the Week award snapped Feb. 23, but the freshman moved into second place in EAGL on floor exercise (9.734 AVG) and third in all-around (38.816).
