Women’s Soccer Welcomes Temple (Sept. 11; 7 p.m.) and Lafayette (Sept. 13; 2 p.m.)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's soccer team looks to remain unbeaten at home when they play host to Temple University on Friday, Sept. 11 (7 p.m.) and Lafayette College on Sunday, Sept. 13 (2 p.m.), at Bremner Field.
LAST TIME OUT FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE (2-1-3)
The Wildcats most recently played at the TD Bank Classic at the University of Vermont campus, where they brought home the championship with three points. Sophomore Brooke Murphy (Monson, Mass.) was the tournament MVP with two goals and an assist through two games. The team tallied a 2-1 victory over Quinnipiac University on Friday (Sept. 4) followed by a 1-1 tie with Kent State University on Sunday (Sept. 6). Junior Kelsey Pratt (Milford, Mass.) recorded a game-winning goal in game one and senior Caroline Murray (New Canaan, Conn.) notched an assist in each game. Junior Mimi Borkan (Medfield, Mass.) totaled 10 saves through both games in 200 minutes of action.
LAST TIME OUT FOR TEMPLE (4-2)
The Owls enter the contest following a 2-1 loss to the University of Pennsylvania (Sept. 4) and a 3-2 defeat to Lehigh University (Sept. 6) after starting the season 4-0. Senior Kelly Farrell recorded a goal off six shots coming off the bench against the Mountain Hawks. Senior Kaylee Harner secured the lone assist for the Owls.
LAST TIME OUT FOR LAFAYETTE (3-1)
The Leopards recently fell, 3-0, to Manhattan College (Sept. 6) for the first loss of the year. Junior Kaelin King led Lafayette in shots with six. Junior goalkeeper Danielle Sedillo allowed three goals and tallied one save in 90 minutes of action.
ALL-TIME SERIES VS. TEMPLE
UNH and Temple last met on Sept. 1, 2002 when the Wildcats pulled out a 1-0 win in a neutral site game at Vermont. That game was the first ever meeting between the two programs.

The 'Cats look to remain unbeaten against the Leopards, as they hold a 2-0-1 overall record. Most recently, New Hampshire defeated Lafayette 3-0 at the ECAC Classic (Sept. 11, 2005).
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
The Wildcats are led by Murphy who has totaled four goals and an assist for nine points this season. Murray has assisted on three of the five goals this year, to lead the team, and ranks second in shots with 18. Borkan currently holds a 2-1-3 overall record in 2015 with 32 saves, three shutouts and an .889 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE OWLS
Farrell leads Temple in goals (five) and points (11). Sophomore Elena Falcone ranks second on the team in goals and leads the team in assists with three each. Senior goalkeeper Shauni Karkhoff leads the way in net with seven saves and a .700 save percentage in five starts. Freshman goalie Jordan Nash has played in five games with one start and has notched four saves. The Owls average 2.83 goals per contest and 16 shots per game. Head coach Seamus O'Connor is in his third season at Temple.

Junior Melissa Lynskey leads the squad in goals with four. Lynskey and King are both tied for first on the team in shots with 16. Senior Anna Wissler has compiled two assists through four games, to pace all Leopards. Between the pipes, Sedillo has played in and started all four games. She boasts a save percentage of .583, and allows an average of 1.35 goals per matchup. Head coach Rich Stratham is in his ninth season with the Leopards.

The 'Cats began the season with three shutouts, the first time in program history, led by goalkeeper Borkan. Last season, the Massachusetts Native put together a three-game shutout streak during a 1-0 win at Binghamton University (Oct. 19), a 2-0 victory at UMass Lowell (Oct. 23) and a 1-0 final score against Stony Brook University (Oct. 26). She tied the program record for shutouts in a season with nine last year. The shutout streak ended this season Aug. 30 to Siena College after lasting 350 minutes, 23 seconds. The program record for the longest shutout streak stands at 380 minutes, set in 2002.
CONSISTENCY IS KEY
The Wildcats have used the same starting lineup all six games this season. Murphy, Borkan, Murray, seniors Gabrielle Sloan (Stow, Mass.), Morgan Smith (Canton, Conn.), Kirsten O'Neil (Hampton, N.H.), junior Lilly Radack (Madbury, N.H.), sophomores Kendra Prince (Ajax, Ontario), Veronica Hardy (North Smithfield, R.I.), Jackie Feraco (Holden, Mass.) and freshman Sydney Griffin (Hinsdale, Ill.) round out the starting eleven.

New Hampshire will take on Harvard University in Boston on Sept. 17 (7 p.m.). The 'Cats return home Sunday, Sept. 20 (2 p.m.) to host Northeastern University and wrap up non-conference play.
