BROOKLINE, Mass. – Sophomore Mimi Borkan (Medfield, Mass.) earned a career best 14 saves in net as the University of New Hampshire women's soccer team fell to Northeastern University this afternoon by a score of 1-0.

The Wildcats drop to 1-3-0 on the season while the Huskies improve to 2-1-1 on the year. Northeastern has not allowed a goal in regulation this season and own three shutouts in four matches.

Northeastern outshot New Hampshire by a 26-4 margin, while holding a 10-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Huskies jumped on the board early into the game. Just 1:39 into the match, senior Lahanian Zoller blasted a shot from the right wing as it went high into the back of the net beyond the reach of Borkan.

Borkan had a stellar performance in goal as she posted a career best 14 saves and stands with a 1-3-0 record on the year. In the first half, she made a total of seven saves off of 14 shots. The last time she had double digit saves dates back to last season (09/11) versus Harvard University on the road as she garnered 11 saves in the 2-1 Wildcats victory.

The Wildcats are back in action Sunday, Sept. 7 in non-conference action on the road at UMass for a 1 p.m. start time.
