Jacob Kittredge, a senior from Amherst, N.H., was part of the UNH men’s outdoor track & field winning distance medley relay team at the Colonial Relays, which were held at the College of William & Mary from March 30-April 1. He also had a seventh-place individual effort at the three-day event that marked the season opener for the outdoor season.
On the second day of competition, Jacob ran to a personal-best time of 1 minute, 51.83 seconds to place seventh overall in the 800-meter dash – 101 runners were entered in the event.
And then Saturday, Jacob ran a leg on the Wildcats’ distance medley relay team that crossed the finish line with a winning time of 10:01.1; UNH bested 24 other relay teams in the DMR.
Jacob closed the indoor track & field season at the IC4A Championships (Boston University’s Track & Tennis Center), where he once again helped the DMR relay squad race to second place. The ‘Cats were seeded just inside the top 10 and finished fourth in the qualifying heat to advance to the finals.
One week earlier at the America East Championships, Jacob was fourth in the 800m with a time of 1:53.45.
