Senior Anna Metzler (Regensburg, Germany) of the University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team set a new school and pool record in the 200 IM (1:58.32) on the opening day of the Bruno Invitational at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
Metzler went on to set another new pool record in the 400 IM (4:08.21) on the second day of the Bruno Invitational. Her mark of 4:08.21 is a strong NCAA qualifying time that should earn her a spot at nationals in March in the 400 IM. It is just off her PR and school record of 4:07.20, which she set on March 1, 2020, at the ECAC Championships.
To top it off, Metzler earned a victory in the 200 back with a time of 1:57.19 on the final day of competition at the Bruno Invitational.
The Wildcats return to the pool on Saturday, December 11 at Northeastern. Meet time from Barletta Natatorium in Boston is 12 p.m.
