2008 ~ An America East All-Conference second teamselection, Bates played in 104 games and 28 matches, including 27match starts… Registered a team-high 345 kills, a totalwhich ranked fourth in the America East Conference… Finishedthe season with an average of 3.32 kills per game... Tallied thesecond-most digs on the roster with 245, with an average of 2.36per game… Also notched 51 blocks and 24 assists…Tallied double-digit kills 19 times… Had five 20-plus killefforts… Compiled a season-high 21 kills twice, once againstHarvard on Sept. 30 and the other against UMBC on Nov. 2…Registered double-digit digs 13 times, including a season-high 16against rival Maine on Oct. 24… Bates earned America EastPlayer of Week honors on Sept. 15 for her performance in theprevious week when she totaled 56 kills, including 20 kills againstRhode Island on Sept. 12… Bates was selected to the AmericaEast All-Academic team for the third-straight season and was amember of the America East Academic Honor Roll.
2007 ~ Bates, a member of the America East All Academicteam, was an America East All-Conference First Team honoree andAmerica East Player of the Week (Nov. 12). .. An all-rookieselection a year ago, Bates was a true triple threat for theWildcats ranking in the top 10 in the conference in kills (6th -3.55 kpg) and aces (10th - 0.38 apg) and was among the team leadersin blocks and hitting percentage... Bates recorded 348 kills,which ranked second on the ‘Cats’ roster, while alsoadding 36 aces, 262 digs and 68 blocks... Bates had a career-high28 kills on Oct. 5 against Albany and had the team’s bestkill marks for 3- and 4-game matches with 20 kills on Nov. 11against Albany and 20 kills in a 3-0 win over Southern Methodist onSept. 15... She had a career-high six blocks on Aug. 24 at Colgateand supassed a career-high with four service aces on Oct. 14against Hartford... Bates, an America East Commissioner’sHonor Roll (3.5+ GPA), earned the Judy Ray Academic ExcellenceAward, given annually to the Wildcat with the highest GPA on theteam.
