Barretto and Sansing Named to All-Academic Team

The sophomore and junior make their America East All-Academic debut.
BOSTON – Two athletes from the University of New Hampshire women's cross country team were named to the America East All-Academic team on Thursday afternoon; sophomore Cayla Barretto (Woburn, Mass.) and junior Morgan Sansing (Chester, N.H.).
Barretto, in her first year eligible for the team, is a Nursing major with a 3.91 GPA. Barretto was named to the America East Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2017, and has won an America East championship in indoor track, taking gold in last year's distance-medley relay. This season, Barretto posted new personal bests in 3K and 5K cross country races this season, and competed in the conference meet and regional meet for the Wildcats.
Sansing, a Human Development and Family Studies major with a 3.86 GPA, was also named to the America East Commisioner's honor roll in 2017. Sansing set new personal bests in the 3K, 5K, and 6K this season. Sansing ran for the Wildcats in numerous races this season, including the conference championship meet.
