Before UNH
Boswell was a member of the 2017 United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) Club of the Year. Boswell, who also ran for Stratton Mountain's cross country team, placed fifth in the 10K classic at the 2016 Junior World Championships and took fifth in the 5K classic at 2015 Junior Nationals. Russell's father Charlie Boswell '93 is a UNH grad who raced under the tutelage of Coach Schwartz, and his mother "Poppet" skied at Dartmouth College.
