Wildcats to compete in three championship meets in Granite State

DURHAM, N.H. – The UNH men's and women's cross country teams announced their 2025 schedule, which features three championship meets within the Granite State.

UNH will take the short ride to the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds (Contoocook, N.H.) to compete in the New England (NEICAAA) Championship on Friday, Oct. 10, before returning for the America East Championship, hosted by UMass Lowell, on Friday, Oct. 31, followed by the NCAA Northeast Regional Championship on Friday, Nov. 14.

The Wildcats open the season Saturday, Aug. 30 (10 a.m.) in the Suffolk Short Course Classic, hosted by Suffolk University, at the Mark Coogan Cross Country Course at Highland Park in Attleboro, Mass.

UNH also ventures to Central Connecticut State for two regular-season meets at Stanley Quarter Park: the Ted Owen Invitational (Saturday, Sept. 20) and the CCSU Mini Meet (Friday, Oct. 24).

The 'Cats also take part in the Paul Short Run at Lehigh on Friday, Oct. 3.

The NCAA Championships, hosted by the University of Missouri, are scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 22 at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course.

About UNH Cross Country
The 2024 UNH women's cross country team won the America East Championship for the eighth time in program history and the first time since 2019. Claire Ronan's (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) third-place finish headlined four Wildcats in the Top 10. Gabby DeAngelis (Bedford, N.H.) captured Women's Most Outstanding Rookie honors, and head coach Anna Magle-Haberek and assistant coaches Alison Duffy and Casey Carroll won the America East Coaching Staff of the Year award.
