Men's XC Places 14 Members on America East Academic Honor Roll

Wildcats place 93% (14 of 15) of roster on Honor Roll

BOSTON – The 2025 UNH men's cross country team placed 14 of its 15 members (93%) on the America East Academic Honor Roll, with four-time honorees Zachary Hooper (Concord, N.H.), Samuel Hilts (Concord, N.H.), Matthew Allen (East Kingston, N.H.) and John Murphy (Deerfield, N.H.) each earning Commissioner's Honor Roll accolades for boasting a fall semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher.

Hooper, the 2025–26 America East Fall Scholar-Athlete for men's cross country, boasted a 4.00 GPA to lead the way. Junior Gavin Malark (Stratham, N.H.) also recorded a 4.00 GPA in earning his second career AE Academic Honor Roll berth. In total, 11 men's XC student-athletes exceeded the 3.5 GPA threshold for Commissioner's Honor Roll status, while Honor Roll accolades went to three student-athletes with a 3.00-3.49 fall GPA.

About America East Academic Honor Roll
America East student-athletes set a new standard for academic achievement during the fall 2025 academic semester as 88 percent of them earned Academic Honor Roll status for achieving a GPA of at least 3.0. In total, 927 student-athletes earned a 3.0 grade-point average of better, over three quarters of the total number of student-athletes participating in America East sponsored fall sports. Overall, more than half earned Commissioner's Honor Roll status for compiling a GPA of at least 3.5.
