Eleven Wildcats Named to 2024 NFHCA National Academic Squad

MANAHAWKIN, N.J. – Eleven student-athletes on the University of New Hampshire field hockey team have earned a distinguished place on the 2024 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad.
Junior captain Nicole Poulakis (Ajax, Ontario) was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad for the third consecutive year.
Sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester. A total of nearly 1,100 outstanding undergraduate student-athletes from over 80 institutions were honored this year.
Juniors Brecken Calcari (St. Louis, Mo.) and Madilynn Clark (Evanston, Ill.) were honored for the second consecutive year.
Sophomores Kathelijne Knuttel (Groningen, Netherlands) and Carly Warms (Chicago, Ill.) also received this accolade for the second consecutive season.
Makayla Clark (Evanston, Ill.), Katie Garrison (Gilroy, Calif.), Megan Marthins (Haddonfield, N.J.), Faye Meijer (Purmerend, Netherlands), Kay Murphy (Walpole, Mass.) and Morgan Valeri (Newburyport, Mass.) were all honored in their first year as collegians.
UNH finished the 2024 season as runner-up in both the America East regular-season standings and conference tournament. A Wildcat earned All-America Team accolades for the third consecutive year, and that same 'Cat repeated as America East Offensive Player of the Year. UNH also boasted two other NFHCA All-Region Team selections and the conference Rookie of the Year.
