Mullin Propels Wildcats to Alumni Day Victory against LIU

Junior finishes first on uneven bars, all-around; takes second on balance beam, floor exercise
DURHAM, N.H. – Junior Serena Mullin (Hamden, Conn.) placed first on uneven bars, took second on balance beam and floor exercise and topped the podium on all-around with a career-high 38.950 to lead the UNH gymnastics team to Sunday's 194.325-189.600 EAGL victory against LIU at Lundholm Gym.
Freshman Aine Reade (Merrimack, Mass.) won the vault and floor exercise and finished runner-up to Mullin in all-around to lead UNH (2-4, 1-0 EAGL), which won its first conference meet of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Vault (Team Score – 48.725)
•Reade set a personal best with a 9.800 to edge sophomore McCall McMullen (Athens, Ga.) and senior Gracy Mowers (Middleton, Mass.), who each shared second place with a 9.775.
•Sophomore Gwen Ockerbloom (Granby, Conn.) scored a 9.700 to take sole possession of fourth place.
Uneven Bars (Team Score – 48.375)
•The Wildcats swept the top four bar scores, headlined by Mullin's 9.725, which edged junior Leah Moreno (Cary, N.C./9.700) by 0.025.
•Sophomore Zoe Arthur (El Segundo, Calif.) finished third (9.675), and senior Summer Simpkins (Audubon, N.J.) placed fourth with a season-high 9.650.
Balance Beam (Team Score – 48.275)
•Mullin finished runner-up (9.725) to LIU's Kaira Cartwright (9.775).
•McMullen scored a 9.700 to share third place with LIU's Renee Figueroa and Ellorine Cane.
Floor Exercise (Team Score - 48.950)
•Reade equaled her career high with a 9.850 to top the podium.
•Mullin's season-best 9.825 earned second place.
•Sophomore Anne Challman (Lewisburg, Pa.) finished third with a 9.800.
•Freshman Stacy Boss (Richboro, Pa.) set a personal best (9.750) to share fourth place with LIU's Ella Barrington and Alina Danilchenko.
