Reade Sets/Equals Four Career-Highs in Fourth-Place Finish at Towson Invite

Mullin/Reade share first on floor exercise; Wildcats tally season’s highest scores on floor, beam
UPPER MARLBORO, Md. – Junior Serena Mullin (Hamden, Conn.) and freshman Aine Reade (Merrimac, Mass.) tied for first place in floor exercise and the UNH gymnastics team recorded its highest scores of the season on balance beam and floor Friday night in a fourth-place finish at the Towson Invite at Show Place Arena.
George Washington scored a 195.750 to win the quint-meet, followed by Towson (195.400), Temple (194.700) and UNH (193.850), which defeated William & Mary (192.850).
Reade tied her personal best on vault (9.800), set a career high on beam (9.775), equaled her high on floor (9.850) and established a career-best 39.100 to place third in all-around.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Vault (Team Score – 48.850)
•Sophomore Gwen Ockerbloom (Granby, Conn.) and Reade each equaled a career high with a 9.800 (T-6th).
•Senior Gracy Mowers (Middleton, Mass.) tied her season high with a 9.775 to earn a share of 10th.
•Towson's Callie Gardner won the event with a 9.900.
Uneven Bars (Team Score – 46.925)
•Reade paced the bar lineup with a 9.675 to tie for 12th place.
•Senior Julia Before (Sutton, Vt.) registered a personal-best 9.650 (15th).
•George Washington's Lola Montevago and Towson's Isabella Minervini topped the podium with matching scores of 9.850.
Balance Beam (Team Score – 49.050)
•Sophomore Anne Challman (Lewisburg, Pa.), Mullin and Ockerbloom headlined the best beam rotation of the season with matching scores of 9.825 (T-8th).
•The score represented a career-high for Challman, set a season-high for Ockerbloom and matched a season-best for Mullin.
•Freshman Mady Harvey (Freeland, Mich.) posted a 9.800 for a share of 13th place.
•Sophomore McCall McMullen (Athens, Ga.) and Reade tied for 16th place with a career-high 9.775.
•Towson's Lauren Keener won beam with a 9.900.
Floor Exercise (Team Score – 49.025)
•Mullin set a season high and Reade equaled a career best with a 9.850 to tie George Wasshington's Deana Sheremeta atop the floor podium.
•Freshman Stacy Boss (Richboro, Pa.) scored a personal-best 9.800 to tie for eighth place.
•Challman (9.775, T-9th) and McMullen (9.750, T-13th) rounded out the scoring for the best floor rotation of the year.
GWU's Delaney DeHaan won the all-around with a 39.275, followed by Minervini (39.250).
