DURHAM, N.H. – University of New Hampshire head football coach Rick Santos announced Thursday that incoming freshmen Ty Miles (Londonderry, N.H.) and Isaiah Jones (Springfield, Mass.) have each signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Wildcat football program this fall.
Miles and Jones join the 16 signees who committed to the program Dec. 20, 2023, during the Early Signing Period.
"Our staff did a really good job during the recruiting cycle this past year," Santos said. "We yielded 18 commitments, including seven early enrollees in the first signing period, and are adding a few more ballers today. We have gotten bigger, faster, and more dynamic as a program, and this class is one of the best in UNH history. We're truly excited to get the opportunity to work with these outstanding young men, and together, we look to build upon our great legacy as a program."
What Coach Santos Says
"Ty is a tremendous athlete for a big man and is one of the best players in all of New Hampshire. He plays with an edge and is very physical at the point of attack. He loves football and is always working to become the best he can be. He has the size and quickness to play any position on the offensive line, and we're very excited about his potential. The future is bright in Durham and Ty will be a huge reason our program gets back to a championship level."
Jones is a 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker from Springfield Central High School in Springfield, Mass. As a senior, he was a key contributor to an eight-win season and a deep playoff run for the Golden Eagles. Jones was a menace on the defensive side of the ball; he was responsible for 71 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, which included six sacks, and two fumble recoveries. Jones was named 2023 MHSFCA Division 1 All-State Honorable Mention.
What Coach Santos Says
"Isaiah is a rangy athlete that can run sideline to sideline and has a knack for making big plays. He has great instincts and is a tackling machine at the second level. It is obvious on tape he has a high football IQ with how quickly he diagnoses plays, and he is always around the ball. We're thrilled to add him to our UNH family, and he will look to have an immediate impact on our program."

Miles, a 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive lineman, is a three-sport athlete who competes in football, basketball and baseball for Londonderry High School. Last fall he was team captain, team MVP and won the Lancer Lineman of the Year award for the Division I state championship runner-up. He has been named all-state three straight seasons. As a senior, he was a finalist for Division I Player of the Year, the Joe Yukica Player of the Year and the Gatorade Player of the Year. He was selected to participate in the CHaD East-West All-Star Game and is a member of the National Honor Society and foreign language honors society.603 🏎️ 603
