Murphy led the Wildcats at the Friar Invitational
BOSTON - Sophomore John Murphy (Deerfield, N.H.) of the University of New Hampshire men's cross country team has been named the America East Performer of the Week for his performance at the Friar Invitational on Friday, Sept. 8.
Murphy led the Wildcats with a 13th-place finish as he posted a time of 19:04.3 on the 6K Mark Coogan XC Course at Highland Park versus Stony Brook, Providence, UConn, Brown and Rhode Island.
The Wildcats will return to action at the Paul Short Invitational in Bethlehem, Pa., on Saturday, Sept. 30.
