Wildcats Fall on the Road at Bryant, 70-46

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The University of New Hampshire men's basketball had their three-game win streak come to an end, falling 70-46, at the Chace Athletic Center against Bryant Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, UNH falls to 11-11 (6-4 AE) and Bryant improves to 15-8 (6-4 AE).

FIRST HALF
- Junior Nick Johnson (Bronx, N.Y.) opened the scoring in the game with a corner three to put the 'Cats up 3-0.
- Two layups from junior Clarence Daniels (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) gave UNH an early 7-2 just before the first media timeout.
- Bryant responded with a 9-1 run to put the Bulldogs out in front 11-8 with under ten minutes left to play in the half.
- The Bulldogs extended their lead, 16-10 before the 'Cats responded with back-to-back three-pointers to tie the game.
- The Wildcats regained the lead when graduate student Jaxson Baker (Phoenix, Ariz.) drilled a three-pointer from the corner to make the score 22-20 with 5:02 remaining in the half.
- UNH had five different players contribute to five three-pointers in the first 15 minutes of game action
- In the final five minutes of the half, the teams traded baskets to head into the locker room in a close one with UNH leading 30-29.
- Junior Kyree Brown (Oakland, Calif.) led the 'Cats with 9 points while Daniels had 8 points and 6 rebounds. Antwan Walker notched 13 points and 8 rebounds to lead both categories for the Bulldogs.
SECOND HALF
- Bryant came out firing in the second half, hitting 6 of their first 8 shot attempts to go on a 15-2 run, building a 44-32 lead.
- The Bulldogs scored another seven unanswered points to build their largest lead of the game, 51-32 with 13:30 left in the game.
- After UNH answered with a three-pointer from Brown, Bryant scored five consecutive points to increase their advantage to 56-35.
- The teams went back and forth over the next six minutes, with the Bulldogs holding on to their 21-point lead, 65-44, with 3:42 remaining in the game.
- Bryant's defense never let up, winning the game 70-46.
NOTEWORTHY
- UNH trails the all-time series with Bryant, holding a 4-8 record having lost the past three matchups. The Wildcats are now 1-5 when traveling to the Chace Athletic Center.
- Daniels recorded his sixth consecutive double-double and 13th of the season by scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
