Wildcats Score Season-High 195.275 to Win Towson Quad Meet

UNH Topples Host Tigers, West Virginia, West Chester
TOWSON, Md. – The UNH gymnastics team totaled a season-high 195.275 to post victories over host Towson, West Virginia and West Chester in Friday night's quad meet at SECU Arena. The Wildcats stretched their win streak to five and upped their record to 5-1 on the season and 2-0 in EAGL competition.
HOW IT HAPPENED
•Senior Kylie Gorgenyi (North Reading, Mass.) paced the Wildcats' uneven-bar lineup with a 9.850 for fifth place, and senior Jacy Whitehead (Houston, Texas) anchored with a career-high 9.775 (10th) to highlight an opening-rotation 48.725, which was second to West Virginia (49.200, floor exercise).
•The beam lineup took control in the second rotation with a first-place 48.975. Senior co-captain Robyn Kelley (Wakefield, Mass.) scored a 9.850 as the anchor to share first place with WVU's Kianna Yancey. Senior Alyssa Worthington (West Warwick, R.I.) placed third (9.825), and sophomore Alyssa Beaulieu (Holyoke, Mass.) registered a personal-best 9.800 to tie for fourth place with Kendra Combs of the Mountaineers. With a 97.700 through two events, the 'Cats were in third place behind WVU (97.900) and Towson (97.750).
•UNH went ahead in the third rotation courtesy of a 48.850 from the floor lineup. Senior co-captain Kenadi Brown (Las Vegas, Nev.) set the pace with a 9.875 for a share of second place, Gorgenyi tied for fifth (9.850), and junior Sierra Bauman (Wallingford, Conn.) established a personal-best 9.775 (11th place).
•The Wildcats salted away first place in the final rotation by posting the top vault score (48.725). Beaulieu scored a career-high 9.800 for third place just before Gorgenyi anchored with a team-leading 9.825 to finish runner-up to WVU's Abby Pierson (9.850). Sophomore Gracy Mowers (Middleton, Mass.) chipped in with a season-best 9.750 to earn a share of fourth place.
•Beaulieu won her second all-around title in six days with a 38.400 to edge West Chester's Kristina Rodriguez (37.875).
