Mowers, Gorgenyi, Worthington, Lui each win events
DURHAM, N.H. – Freshman Gracy Mowers (Middleton, Mass.) and junior Kylie Gorgenyi (North Reading, Mass.) established personal bests to win vault and uneven bars, respectively, junior Alyssa Worthington (West Warwick, R.I.) won balance beam with the top score of the meet, and senior Hailey Lui (Collegeville, Pa.) equaled a career high on floor exercise to complete the UNH gymnastics team's clean sweep of Brown, 195.875-191.625, in Saturday night's Stick It for the Cure meet at Lundholm Gym.
Nine members of the Wildcats (6-5, 2-2 EAGL) either set or tied career-high scores, and UNH totaled its second-highest score of the season.
"I am happy with tonight's performances. We still have some things to improve on, but the team was having fun and that was great to see," head coach Lindsey Bruck Ayotte said. "This is always a special meet for us; it's great to get some sticks in to raise awareness and funds for such an important cause."
