UNH defeats Wolfpack, George Washington, William & Mary to stretch winning streak to five
RALEIGH, N.C. – Senior Hailey Lui (Collegeville, Pa.) earned first place on balance beam and junior Kylie Gorgenyi (North Reading, Mass.) tied for first on vault to lead the UNH gymnastics team to Saturday's quad-meet victory against host N.C. State, George Washington and William & Mary at the James T. Valvano Arena at William Neal Reynolds Coliseum.
The Wildcats (5-4, 2-2 EAGL) registered their highest road score of the season (195.400) to edge the Wolfpack (195.250) in an EAGL head-to-head matchup. UNH posted two non-conference wins against GWU (194.675) and W&M (190.650) to stretch its winning streak to five.
"We were definitely tested as a team today. We had mistakes here and there, but these ladies did a great job being there for their teammates and stepping up when it counted," head coach Lindsey Bruck Ayotte said. "We still have work to do, but it is nice to get some wins on the road."
