DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's cross country team placed fourth out of seven teams at the Pre-Conference Meet on the 8K course at College Woods on Saturday. Sophomore Jeffrey Allen (Litchfield, N.H.) led the Wildcats with a 15th-place finish in his UNH debut.
The meet featured several America East opponents as the teams prepare to compete at the America East Championships at College Woods on Friday, Oct. 29.
"This is a super fun team and finished right in the middle of the meet," said Robert Hoppler, UNH Director of Men's and Women's Track & Field and Cross Country. "We are looking forward to racing the whole team together to see how good we can become. The highlights on the men's side hadn't raced in a while, Jeffrey Allen and William Curran performed well and we are really happy to have both of the athletes racing for UNH now."
