Men’s Hockey Announces 2021-22 Schedule

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire men's hockey team has announced the 2021-22 schedule. The Wildcats will play a total of 34 regular season games with 17 at the Whittemore Center.

UNH starts the season at the Whittemore Center with two games versus Union (Fri.-Sat., Oct. 8-9).
The home schedule is also highlighted by a matchup with 2021 NCAA national champion UMass (Sat., Nov. 20), and contests against 2021 NCAA Tournament participants Boston University (Sat., Dec. 4) and Boston College (Fri., Jan. 14). The regular season home-finale will be against UMass Lowell (Fri., March 4).
Along with the two season-opening games with Union, the Wildcats will play three other non-conference opponents at home with contests versus Holy Cross (Sat., Nov. 27), St. Lawrence (Fri., Jan. 7) and Clarkson (Sat., Jan. 8).
The non-conference schedule also features games at Arizona State (Fri.-Sat., Oct. 15-16) and Harvard (Fri., Nov. 26), along with the Wildcats competing in the 2021 Ledyard Classic in Hanover, N.H. versus Dartmouth (Thur., Dec. 30), and either Boston College or Mercyhurst (Fri., Dec. 31).
UNH takes on Hockey East opponents UConn, UMass Lowell, Providence and Vermont three times, while the Wildcats play UMass, Northeastern, Boston College, Boston University, Maine and Merrimack twice.
The Hockey East Tournament will return to an all-in format. Seeds six, seven, and eight will host seeds 11, 10, and nine, respectively, in the Opening Round set for Wed., March 9, 2022. After a reseeding, the top three seeds will host the winners of the Opening Round while the four seed will host the five seed in the Quarterfinals on Sat., March 12. The Hockey East Semifinals and Final will return to the TD Garden in Boston on Fri. and Sat., March 18-19, 2022.
