Patrick Grasso Signs With New Jersey’s AHL Affiliate Utica

UTICA, N.Y. – 2021 University of New Hampshire graduate Patrick Grasso (Ankeny, Iowa) has signed a standard player contract with the Utica Comets for the 2021-22 season. Utica is the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.

Grasso, who was a two-time assistant captain, played in 138 career games with UNH posting 49 goals and 48 assists for 97 career points. As a senior, he played in all 23 games and tallied seven goals and eight assists for 15 points.

He won the 2021 Hockey East Len Ceglarski Individual Sportsmanship Award and was a member of the 2016-17 Hockey East All-Rookie Team.

At the conclusion of the 2020-21 season, he was tied for sixth in the nation in career goals by active players, while he was 18th in points. Grasso was second with 25 career power play goals and was tied for 11th with 10 career game-winning goals.
