Wildcats Begin Conference Play at UMBC Sunday (2 P.M.)

DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire women's soccer team finished the non-conference schedule with a 4-4-0 record, and open up America East Conference play this Sunday, September 22, when they face the UMBC Retrievers in Baltimore at 2 P.M.
Last Time Out
• UNH went 1-1-0 in its final weekend of non-conference play, with a loss to Dartmouth and a win over Army West Point.
• The Wildcats shutout the Big Green in their Thursday evening matchup for 88 minutes, but Dartmouth snuck one through with just two minutes left in regulation.
• The UNH defense continued its strong performance the following Sunday when the 'Cats faced Army; New Hampshire held the Black Knights scoreless, protecting an early 1-0 lead provided by senior Liz Lane (Porter, Maine).

• Sophomore goalkeeper Cat Sheppard (Nesconset, N.Y.) got her first career start when UNH faced the Rhode Island Rams in its season opener. She holds a 4-4-0 record in net with a .846 save% and a 0.76 goals-against average with two clean sheets on the year.

• The Retrievers (Baltimore, Md.) come into the weekend off a home loss to George Washington on Thursday evening.
• UMBC holds a 0-2-1 record at home so far this season vs. UNH's 0-2-0 away record. This game is the second in a three-game homestand for the Retrievers, after only playing three home non-conference games.
