GAME RECAP
- Boston University struck first five minutes into the game as a breakaway chance caught the UNH defense off guard, giving Nara Elia a one-on-one with the goaltender.
- On a power play 9:03 into the period, the Terriers struck again on a one-timer from the left-side faceoff dot that deflected into the net. BU extended its lead to 2-0.
- The Wildcats got their first power play opportunity of the game but were unable to convert early in the second period. UNH battled back on the shot chart, outshooting BU 16-12 in the second period.
- Boston U. responded with more pressure and was able to connect on a rebound right in front of the net in the final minute of the second period to extend the lead to 3-0.
- The Terriers opened up the third with another goal coming in the first five minutes of play to go up 4-0.
- Just 30 seconds later, the Wildcats responded with their first goal of the evening; Marie-Jo Pelletier (Dalhousie, New Brunswick) sent a stretch pass from the left face-off dot all the way through the neutral zone to a speedy Devan Taylor who beat the goalie one-on-one going top shelf glove-side, to spoil the shutout.
- Boston University would get another goal 8:09 into the third to keep the lead at four goals.
