Ski Team Finishes Fifth at EISA Championships

Woodhouse, Frigon finish 8-9 in women’s slalom
NEWRY & RUMFORD, Maine– Emma Woodhouse (Collingwood, Ontario) and Geneviève Frigon (Laval, Quebec) finished eighth and ninth, respectively, in women's slalom for the University of New Hampshire ski team, which took fifth place overall at the 2019 EISA Championships/NCAA East Regional Championships/Bates College Carnival, which concluded Saturday.
Dartmouth won the EISA title with 973 points, followed by Vermont (965), Middlebury (758), Colby (545) and UNH (500).

At Sunday River, Woodhouse registered a combined time of 1 minute, 55.91 seconds for 35 points, and Frigon secured 33 points in 1:55.91. Lisa Olsson (Stockholm, Sweden) clocked in at 1:57.39 for 15th place (27 points), and the Wildcats finished third in women's SL with 95 points, behind Vermont (131) and Dartmouth (127).
The Wildcat men's alpine team placed sixth (72 points) in SL. Will Bruneau-Bouchard (Quebec City, Quebec) headlined the 'Cats with a 13th-place finish (1:54.22/28 points), and Patrick Kenney (Hingham, Mass.) took 17th (1:54.63/24 points).
At Black Mountain, Will Bodewes (Durango, Colo.) set the pace the Wildcat men's Nordic team in the 20K classic, crossing the finish line in 54-minutes, 16.8 seconds (26 points). Kaja Sandsten (Oppdal, Norway) placed 20th in the women's 15K classic in a time of 47:27.2.
