Sevilla-Connelly, Wilkes Collect All-Conference Honors at America East Title Meet

ALBANY, N.Y. – The University of New Hampshire men's cross country team took on the conference's best runners at the 2019 America East Cross Country Championship Meet; a top-10 finish by senior Nicolas Sevilla-Connelly (Chester, N.H.) paced the Wildcats to a fourth place conference finish, the programs best conference finish since 2016.
Sevilla-Connelly finished the 8-kilometer race with a personal best time of 24:06.2, taking fifth place overall, his best America East Championship cross country performance of his career, and his first all-conference selection as a member of the America East All-Conference First Team.
New Hampshire's scoring places were fifth, 12th, 23rd, 24th, and 31st, for a team score of 95. The meet was won overall by UMass Lowell's Christopher Alfond finishing in 23:38.26. Stony Brook took the team championship with a team score of 22, with four runners in the top 10.

The Wildcats also finished fourth in the team standings in 2016; the 2019 team beat the 2016's team score by five points, finishing with a team score of 95 to 2016's score of 100.

- Junior James Wilkes (Concord, N.H.) took a 12th overall finish with a time of 24:25.72, a new personal best time. His finish was good for All-Conference second team honors.
- Freshman Forest MacKenzie (Deerfield, N.H.) was the next Wildcat across the finish line with a 25th place finish, with a personal best time of 24:53.70.
- Right behind him in 26th was senior Alexander Saveliev (Concord, N.H.) with a new personal best time of 24:56.44.
- Rounding out UNH's top five was junior Samuel Lanternier (Derry, N.H.) finishing in 34th with a time of 25:10.47.
