Sevilla-Connelly Takes First in Team Win at Fall Foliage Invitational

ST. ALBANS, Vt. – University of New Hampshire senior cross country runner Nicolas Sevilla-Connelly (Chester, N.H.) took first overall at the Fall Foliage Invitational hosted by Vermont as the Wildcats' men's cross country team took first overall with a score of 36.
Sevilla-Connelly led the way finishing the 8k course a full 14 seconds ahead of the rest of the pack, finishing first overall with a time of 24:33.4.
Sevilla-Connelly was the first of four Wildcat runners that finished in the top 10, the other three being junior James Wilkes (Concord, N.H.), in fourth, freshman Forest MacKenzie (Deerfield, N.H.) in fifth, and junior Aidan Sullivan (Nashua, N.H.) in eighth.
The Wildcats edged out the host team, Vermont, by just three points, at 36 points to Vermont's 39.

New Hampshire has one weekend left before the America East Championship meet; they travel to New Britain, Connecticut for the CCSU Mini Meet next Friday, October 25, ahead of the conference championships in Albany on Saturday, November 2.

- Wilkes' fourth place finish came in 25:20.9, followed immediately MacKenzie in fifth at 25:21.0, which was just a second off his personal best in the 8k.
- Sullivan took eighth overall with a time of 25:27.5.
- The final scoring place was Samuel Lanternier (Derry, N.H.) finishing in 25:44.5, taking 15th. He was followed by Nicholas Brown (Conway, N.H.) in 16th at 25:49.3.
- Freshman Aidan O'Hern (Concord, N.H.) rounded out UNH's top seven with a time of 25:54.40 in 21st. He just edged out senior Alexander Saveliev (Concord, N.H.) in 22nd with a time of 25:54.80.
