UNH to Compete in NCAA Regionals on Saturday (4 p.m.)

This marks the 35th time in 37 years that the program has qualified for Regionals.
DURHAM, N.H. – The University of New Hampshire gymnastics team travels to Penn State for the NCAA University Park Regional Saturday, April 7 (4 p.m.). The meet can be streamed live for free HERE on the Big Ten Network.
Here is a look at the six-team University Park Regional field:

The top two teams and the top two all-around competitors (who are not on an advancing team) from the University Park Regional will receive an automatic berth to the NCAA national championships (April 20-21) in St. Louis. In addition, the event winners will advance to the national championships (in that event only) if they are not part of a qualifying team or an all-around qualifier.

WILDCATS NOTEBOOK
- Four UNH gymnasts were awarded All-EAGL First Team honors: Mulligan (bars, beam), Lauter (beam), Diggan (bars), and O'Leary (vault).
- Five Wildcats were named to the All-EAGL Second Team: Doolin (all-around, floor), Freehling (beam, bars), Breeden (floor), Kerouac (bars), and Bondanza (beam).
- Lauter recorded a perfect 10 on beam in her final home meet on March 11.
- Lauter (9.910 RQS) won the EAGL regular season beam championship while Mulligan (9.895 RQS) won the regular season bars championship.
- Mulligan won the individual bars championship at the EAGL Championship with a 9.950, which tied the highest score on bars in UNH history.
- Diggan (9.870) finished the regular season with the second highest RQS on bars in EAGL. O'Leary tied for sixth on vault (9.850 RQS).
- Lauter (3x) and O'Leary (1x) both earned EAGL Specialist of the Week this season.
- Diggan won EAGL Rookie of the Week five times.
SCOUTING FLORIDA
- No. 5 University of Florida is led by head coach Jenny Rowland, who is a former U.S. National Team member and All-American. She led the Gators to victory at last years NCAA Gainesville Regional Meet. 15 time All-American and 2017 Honda Award recipient, Alex McMurtry, is ranked second in the country on vault, first in the country on uneven bars, and is ranked in the top five for all events in the SEC conference. Two-time All-American Rachel Slocum is nationally ranked in the top 10 on vault. Eight time All-American Alicia Boren is ranked third all-around in the SEC conference and is nationally ranked 10th on beam.
SCOUTING WASHINGTON
- No. 8 Washington team is led by head coach Elise Ray-Statz who was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame. Washington is ranked in the top ten on beam and floor. There are four Washington team members who placed in the top 30 in the nation. Senior Hailey Burleson finished sixth all-around at the Pac-12 Championship Meet and is ranked 23rd in the country all-around. She is tied for sixth in the Pac-12 conference on beam with teammate Evanni Roberson. Washington's Monica Riley is ranked seventh in conference on uneven bars.
SCOUTING ARIZONA STATE
- Nationally ranked No. 17 Arizona State Women's Gymnastics team is led by second-year head coach Jay Santos, who received the Pac-12 Coach of the Year award. The Gym Devils are ranked fourth all-around in the South Central region and sixth all-around in their conference. Arizona placed sixth in the Pac-12 Championship Meet on March 25. Freshman and All-American Cairo Leonard-Baker is ranked fifth on uneven bars and sixth all-around in her conference. She is the first Sun Devil to win Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. Junior Anne Kuhm from France, is ranked 12th all-around in the conference. Her strongest event is floor, where she placed in the top 10 at the Pac-12 Championships.
SCOUTING WEST VIRGINA
- No. 27 West Virginia qualified for NCAA Regionals for the fourth year in a row. Head coach Jason Butts led his team to 13 victories this season. Three time All-American Kirah Koshinski is ranked 10th in the country for vault and tied for sixth in floor in the Big Ten. Junior Carly Galpin is 12th in the Big 12 conference for beam.
SCOUTING PENN STATE
- No 29. Penn State will be hosting the NCAA Regionals this year. The team is led by first-year head coach Sarah Brown. The Nittany Lion's strongest event is uneven bars where they are ranked third in the Big Ten Conference. Freshman All-American Lauren Bridgens was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week five times this season. She also received a perfect 10 on uneven bars for the first time in Penn State history. Senior All-American Briannah Tsang is ranked seventh on vault in the Big Ten. Sabrina Garcia is tied for 10th on floor and tied for 11th on the uneven bars in the Big Ten.
