Junior matches personal best on floor & wins first AA title of season
BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Danielle Doolin (Medford Lakes, N.J.) equaled her career high with a 9.900 on floor exercise to win that event en route to her first all-around championship of the season in the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team's 195.050-193.500 victory over the University of Bridgeport on Thursday night at the Wheeler Recreation Center.
Doolin, who also shared second place (9.725) on vault, scored a 38.975 to edge Bridgeport's Kathryn Doran (38.225) and Kelsey Campbell (38.100) for the AA title.
The Wildcats (8-5) also registered individual wins on vault (Lauren Diggan, 9.775), uneven bars (Danielle Mulligan, 9.875) and balance beam (Casey Lauter, 9.850).
Doolin, who also shared second place (9.725) on vault, scored a 38.975 to edge Bridgeport's Kathryn Doran (38.225) and Kelsey Campbell (38.100) for the AA title.

HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST ROTATION
•Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) headlined the Wildcats' team score of 48.825 in the opening rotation. Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa.) finished as the runner-up with a 9.825, while Doolin and Makenzie Kerouac (Merrimack, N.H.) shared sixth place (9.725).
SECOND ROTATION
•On vault, Diggan anchored the lineup with a 9.775 to edge the second-place trio of Doolin, Nicole O'Leary (Newtown, Conn.) and Bridgeport's Maya Reimers, who each scored a 9.725. Marissa Toci (Mount Laurel, N.J.) stuck her dismount for a 9.700 to share fifth place with UB's Brieanna Zine.
THIRD ROTATION
•Saving the best for last, Doolin's strong performance from the No. 6 spot in the lineup resulted in her first 9.900 on floor since Feb. 19, 2017. Lia Breeden (York, Pa.) led off the lineup with a solid 9.850 to tie for third with Gabrielle Kistner of the Purple Knights. Diggan (9.800, sixth), Emma Winer (Georgetown, Mass./9.750, T-7th) and Mulligan (9.725, T-9th) helped the 'Cats to a team score of 49.025, their top tally of the meet.
FOURTH ROTATION
•UNH left no doubt by sweeping the podium on beam; Lauter's 9.850 was supported by the duo of Mulligan and Riley Freehling (Southington, Conn.), who shared second place (9.750). Courtney Bondanza (Buffalo, N.Y.) claimed a share of fifth place (9.650) with Bridgeport's Delany Cahill.
MEET NOTES
•UNH avenged a home loss (192.950-191.750) to Bridgeport from Jan. 13 that snapped a stretch of 28 consecutive opponents vanquished at Lundholm Gym.
•The Wildcats have defeated six of their last seven opponents and have achieved a 195.050 or higher in their last eight meets dating back to Jan. 20.
•New Hampshire's last meet at the Whittemore Center was March 22, 2014.
•Sunday's Senior Day quad-meet will mark the final home meet for Breeden, Kerouac, Lauter, Elizabeth Mahoney (Hanson, Mass.) and Toci.
