The loss snapped a five meet win streak for UNH
RALEIGH, N.C. – Danielle Mulligan (Farmingdale, N.Y.) finished in the top three in three different events, but the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team was defeated by North Carolina State (196.075-195.650) Friday night at the Reynolds Coliseum in Raleigh, N.C.
NEXT HOME MEET
- The Wildcats return home Sunday, March 11 for Senior Day when they take on eighth-ranked Kentucky, Yale, and Brown in a non-conference quad-meet at the Whittemore Center. Tickets for the meet can be purchased here or by calling 603-862-4000.
HOW IT HAPPENED
FIRST ROTATION
- Mulligan won a share of the individual bars championship as she recorded a 9.875 to lead UNH to a team score of 49.025. Lauren Diggan (Sinking Spring, Pa.) and Makenzie Kerouac (Merrimack, N.H.) tied for third place (9.850).
SECOND ROTATION
- Nicole O'Leary (Newtown, Conn.) scored a 9.825 on vault to finish in second place as UNH scored a 48.850. Erin Carroll (Kingston, N.H.) and Elizabeth Mahoney (Hanson, Mass.) tied for third (9.800).
THIRD ROTATION
- Mulligan tied for third place on floor (9.825) as UNH recorded a team score of 48.600. O'Leary finished in seventh (9.775) and Diggan came in eighth (9.750).
FOURTH ROTATION
- Mulligan came in second place with a 9.900 on beam to lead the Wildcats to a 49.175 on beam. Courtney Bondanza (Buffalo, N.Y.) came in third (9.875) while Lia Breeden (York. Pa) and Casey Lauter (Northport, N.Y.) tied for fifth (9.825).
