Holmes' Second Straight Win Leads UNH at Dartmouth Carnival (Day 1 of 2)

Wildcat senior remains EISA’s top-ranked classical racer; UNH in fourth place
HANOVER & LYME, N.H. – Peter Holmes (Tahoe City, Calif.) topped the podium in the men's 10K classic at the Dartmouth XC Ski Center on Friday for his second straight race victory, and the University of New Hampshire ski team moved into fourth place at the Dartmouth Carnival, which concludes Saturday.
Holmes, who was named EISA Men's Nordic Skier of the Week on Feb. 7, made it back-to-back wins in the 10K classic after notching the victory at the Vermont Carnival on Feb. 3.
With 330 points, the Wildcats are in fourth place behind Dartmouth (513), Vermont (438) and Middlebury (366).
The Dartmouth Carnival wraps up Saturday with the women's 5K and men's 10K skate at Dartmouth XC Center and the men's and women's slalom at Dartmouth Skiway.
