Holmes' Win Headlines Ski Team's Third-Place Finish at UVM Carnival

Wildcats score season-high 701 points in third-place finish at Vermont Carnival
CRAFTSBURY COMMON & STOWE, Vt.– Peter Holmes (Tahoe City, Calif.) raced to victory in the men's 10K classic and Kaja Sandsten (Oppdal, Norway) took sixth place in the women's 5K classic at Craftsbury Outdoor Center to propel the University of New Hampshire to third place overall at the University of Vermont Winter Carnival, which concluded Saturday.
The Wildcats finished third in men's Nordic (100 points), men's alpine (85 points) and women's alpine (95) while taking fourth in women's Nordic (91 points) en route to a season-high 701 points.
Dartmouth won the carnival with 969 points, followed by runner-up UVM (932).
