DURHAM, N.H. – Senior co-captain Meghan Pflieger (Barneveld, N.Y.) earned the individual victory on the balance beam (9.875) and a share of first place on the floor exercise (9.875), as the University of New Hampshire gymnastics team improved to 17-4, scoring a 196.025 in a first place finish against Yale University and Brown University on Senior Day.
The senior class performed extremely well, leading everyone else to achieve high scores. Pflieger, who was performing while sick, proved that she could step up when she was needed, and focused on mind over matter. Head Coach Gail Goodspeed continues to be very proud of this team. She explained that breaking the score of 196.000 was great practice for the EAGL Championship coming up in a couple of weeks.
