Women's Basketball Takes Aim at Sweep Over UMass Lowell (Feb. 17, 7 p.m.)

DURHAM, N.H. - The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team looks for a regular-season sweep over the UMass Lowell River Hawks on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at the Tsongas Center (7 p.m.).

G: So. Aliza Simpson (Londonderry, N.H.) - Her 2.5 assists per game are second on the team.
G: Sr. Elizabeth Belanger (Acton, Mass.) - Three-pointer against Stony Brook was the 100th of her career.
F: Fr. Ashley Storey (Cumberland, Maine) - 2 blocks vs. Stony Brook give her 17 for the season.
C: Jr. Carlie Pogue (Cincinnati, Ohio) - Has made 17 of her last 18 foul shots.

STORYLINES:- The Wildcats made 12 of their 13 free throws against Stony Brook and lead the league with a 74.2 foul shooting percentage.
- Elizabeth Belanger scored 19 points against Stony Brook and moved up to No. 6 on UNH's career scoring list with 1,370 points. Next on the list is Orsi Farkas (1996-2000) with 1,434.
- Belanger is one of only four players in program history who has scored more than 1,350 points and grabbed more than 650 rebounds.
- The Wildcats won their first league game, 65-61, at UMass Lowell on Jan. 21. Belanger had 32 points in that game.
- Next up: UNH plays the first of two straight home games Saturday at 1 p.m. against Hartford. The Wildcats play Vermont at home Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. for Senior Night.
