Chiesa Leads Men’s Cross Country at NCAA Northeast Regionals

BOSTON – The University of New Hampshire men's cross country team finished 30th at the Men's Cross Country NCAA Northeast Regionals, Friday afternoon at Franklin Park. Sophomore Ryan Chiesa (Stockholm, N.J.) finished 118th out of 251 competitors in the 10K race.
New Hampshire registered 845 points as six 'Cats competed in the 37-team event. Chiesa clocked in with a time of 32 minutes, 52 seconds while junior Mitchell Dutton (Salem, N.H.) came in 143rd with a time of 33:10.
Senior Granite State native Sam Gagnon (Hooksett, N.H.) placed 187th with a result of 33:55. Sophomore Neil Mistretta (Durham, N.H.) took 198th with a time of 34:13 while senior Brendan McCarthy (Mansfield, Mass.) finished right behind Mistretta in 199th with a time of 34:17. Freshman Cody Symonds (Alton, N.H.) rounded out the six Wildcat competitors as he came in 232nd with a time of 36:13.
