Prizzi Places Second as Men's XC Finishes Fourth at America East Championships

ORONO, Maine – The University of New Hampshire men's cross country team placed fourth overall at the 2014 America East Cross Country Championships Saturday morning on the campus of Maine.
Senior John Prizzi (Wyckoff, N.J.) paced the Wildcats to second place finish out of 83 runners with a time of 24:42. Last year, Prizzi ran the 8k race with a time of 24:55 and claimed the individual title.
The next runner that crossed the finish line for UNH was senior Kevin Greene (Silver Springs, Md.) who placed 18th (25:39). Senior Jeremy Wildgoose (Woodstock, Conn.) was not far behind with a time of 25:47 coming in 25th.
Senior Jeff Moretti (Guilford, Conn.) came in 29th place finishing the race with an overall time of 25:53.
Binghamton University won the men's team title with 59 points, while Stony Brook's Eric Speakman claimed the individual championship with a time of 24:41.
Up next, the men will travel to Van Cortland Park (Bronx, N.Y.) to compete at the NCAA Regional Meet on Friday, November 14.
